Laguna Moto Club
By Edward Soriano

Laguna, as the name heard. What’s in your mind? Green and cool places, located at the south part of metro? Right!

Our group was formed thru the help of internet forums when a certain thread created for all riders in Laguna. Initially, there are only few who read the thread until suddenly there were replies coming, setting up for a first eyeball or meeting. With continue browsing forums, creating replies, giving suggestion, comments and pushing for the first meeting, this was officially happened last April 21, 2006.

LMC (Laguna Moto Club) Pioneers were headed by Edward “prodigy” Soriano, Orlan “split_fire” Labay, Alex “trashead” Embuscado, Gilbert ‘trebs05” Banadera, Jeffrey ‘jm03” Mance, Robert “stackerassy” Cortez and Gary “rheg” Caliboso.
Through thick and thin in setting up, we always struggle to complete the attendance during meetings due to work schedule conflicts. We continue to communicate through internet, websites and motorcycle forums. Discuss the plan and decide to finally form a motorcycle club, carrying out the common interest in motorcycling. We started to create by-laws and membership forms for the aspiring members even we are not yet sure if this laws and forms will be use or not.

Our club was originated in Sta. Rosa, Laguna where Industrial Parks located. Members of LMC (Laguna Moto Club) were mainly come from electronics, semiconductor and other manufacturing company within Laguna.

As we go along, thru the dedication of the members. We continue to grow and establish a network still with the help of club forums from different sites. Start to organize group meetings and tambay. Share experiences and tips in motorcycling. Most favorite is the “Alaskahan Blues” were teasing and joking is always fun. Club will not be complete if the regular ride in different place is missing. We do also have a monthly ride schedule to exercise, develop and learn riding techniques in a safe way plus the bonding of each member.

LMC enjoy going to places were there is twisty road, body movement when leaning to curve seems like an exercise to release pressure from work in day-to-day living.

To continue further we create a dedicated forums through the help of our IT expert that is named after the club. Through this, we invite members who have also interest in motorcycling to join and experience the LMC way. Almost 99% of LMCeans were forum members from different site were LMC is affiliated and most especially the Laguna Moto Club Forums. Now we grow in numbers, forum site were busy. Every week there is a newbie who visit our tambayan and express their interest in joining the club. Joining is not so complicated and hard if you have a motorcycle (underbone, bigbike, scooters, etc…) meet with us at our hang-out every Saturday night at Pavilion Mall, Binan, Laguna, beside National Bookstore. We are happy to welcome you!

This 2008 we will celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of the Club, since the first step had just finished by gaining active members. The planned now is to get more involve in the motorcycle community and be named as one of the respected motorcycle clubs not just in Laguna but in Philippines as a whole. Who promote safety by wearing protective gears when riding, a responsible rider that somehow change the wrong impression on some riders who cannot simply follow the proper wearing of helmet.

Happy Anniversary LMC!!!

Come, Ride with us…share, learn and enjoy the fun. Ride Safe!
